BVCC Kids

PURPOSE

The purpose of our BVCC Kids Ministry is to help our kids find and follow Jesus. We want to help guide them toward knowing Jesus and making a decision to follow Him. We will accomplish this by seeking to help them take their next step toward belonging, growing, investing and shining. We want everything we do in our ministry to point them toward Jesus and toward these four areas of life in Christ.

COMMITMENT — Teacher

  • Help to prepare and present our provided Sunday Curriculum
  • Choose between one of our Pre-School Classes, Elementary or Club 56
  • Our BVCC Kids Director will provide the required materials
  • Serve once every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks or choose to serve in a 4-week block once every 3 or 4 months.

COMMITMENT — Small Group Leader

  • Lead a small group through provided discussion/study for a portion of class
  • Teacher will deliver the main teaching prior to small group time
  • This role is for our Grades 1-4 Class or Club 56Serve once every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks.

COMMITMENT — Adult Assistant

  • Attend BVCC Kids on your scheduled Sunday
  • Support Teacher by keeping kids engaged
  • Provide assistance during crafts/activities etc
  • Choose between one of our Pre-School or Elementary Classes
  • Serve once every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks.

COMMITMENT — Nursery

  • Remain in our Nursery throughout our service
  • Help to supervise and care for babies/toddlers
  • Page parents with the provided tablet when needed
  • Serve once every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks.

COMMITMENT — Youth Volunteer

  • For our youth who are in grades 7-12
  • Assist Teacher and Adult Supervisor
  • Serve once every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks.

COMMITMENT — Hallway Supervisor

  • Sit in our central BVCC Kids space throughout the service
  • Ensure kids remain in classrooms
  • Ensure only approved volunteers enter classrooms
  • Assist classroom volunteers with bathroom trips and parent paging
  • Serve once every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks

COMMITMENT — One2One Buddy

  • Attend class in order to work one on one with one of our kids who need extra care
  • Help that one child to engage and feel included, loved and supported
  • Serve once every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks

COMMITMENT — Host

  • Welcome families each Sunday morning as they drop off their kids
  • Help to conduct our check-in and check-out process before and after class
  • Attend the regular service from 10:15 am until the final song begins.
  • Serve once every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks.
