MINISTRY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
We are more than a ministry for kids and youth! We believe the most effective way for kids to find and follow Jesus is for them to have parents with strong faith who are equipped with information, inspiration, tools and a community of supportive parents. We do our best to provide focused ministry for every member of the family at every stage of their discipleship journey, including parents.
BABY DEDICATIONS
A brief ceremony occurs during a Sunday service each fall, where newborns are dedicated to the Lord. Parents commit to raising their kids to know Jesus, and the church commits to supporting the parents.
BIBLE DEDICATIONS
An annual ceremony every spring during a Sunday service where our parents of grade 3 children present their child with a brand new Bible of their own along with a special blessing for their future walk with God through His word. The church provides a Bible for each family to present and during the ceremony a Pastor prays for the families.
GRADE 6 CELEBRATION
A special Sunday each June where we honour our grade 6 students and celebrate them moving into Junior High and our Youth Group.
JOURNEY TO MANHOOD/WOMANHOOD
A six month program for kids in the range of grades 8-10. Fathers/Mothers go through the program with their son/daughter intentionally trying their best to prepare and equip their child for the transition from childhood to adulthood, especially as a disciple of Jesus.
PINE LAKE CHRISTIAN CAMP
We have a strong partnership and long history with PLCC. Many of our staff/members volunteer and attend their camps for kids, youth, and families.
Visit pinelakechristiancamp.com for more info.
GRADUATION
We host an annual grad dinner for graduates and their family in order to honour them, celebrate with them and bless them. We also have them come forward during one of our services in order to pray over them.
FAMILY FUN EVENTS
Occasional fun events throughout the year aimed to bring families together and reach out to new families. Designed to grow community and connection.
PARENT WORKSHOPS
Occasional educational events aimed to equip and inspire parents in their effort to grow faith in their kids.
COMMUNITY GROUPS
Monthly/Weekly opportunity for parents and their kids to dive deeper into community and faith. They usually share a meal together and connect through prayer, study, and conversations.
TOTS AND ALL
Monday morning gym drop-in with inflatables and games for kids ages 0-5. This is a stay and play ministry where parents stay with their kids and connect with one another. It runs from October through May each year.

BVCC KIDS
SUNDAY CLASSES
Preschool classes for Nursery, Age 2-3 and Age 4-5. Elementary Classes for Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, and Grades 5-6 (Club 56). We have a detailed check-in process, Plan to Protect, and screening process for volunteers in order to ensure the safety and security of our kids.
CURRICULUM
Our curriculum is called One Story. It teaches each Bible story within the context of the overarching Biblical narrative so that kids can see how it connects into God’s story. Each week includes a God Story (Bible Teaching), Life Story (Testimony), and My Story (Application activities that give kids the opportunity to process, engage with, & discuss the Big Idea and biblical themes introduced in the lesson). Visit www.onestorycurriculum.com.
CLUB 56 EVENTS
In an effort to encourage connection and belonging for our grade 5-6 students, we hold bi-monthly Club 56 fun events on Thursday nights. We have a team of high school students who serve as Club 56 leaders for these events to be mentors and to help grow connections that will benefit their eventual transition into BVCC Youth.
BVCC YOUTH
FRIDAY NIGHTS
The backbone of our youth ministry is our Friday night gathering from 7-9 PM. It includes a variety of events. Small Group Nights get youth into conversation and study, growing their relationships and understanding of faith. Worship Nights deepen their experience of worship and their relationship with God. Large Group nights allow an opportunity for fun and a focus on outreach.
GYM DROP-IN
Regular Saturday afternoon open gym times for youth to invite friends and enjoy some fun time connecting.
BIBLE STUDIES & CLASSES
Periodic studies and classes for youth are offered throughout the year. Often on Sundays.
MISSION TRIPS
Our youth are given the opportunity to go on an international mission trip experience every three years.
BVCC YOUNG ADULTS
The united aim in our Family Ministry is to have young people graduate high school with a strong faith that will last. We currently have a growing group of 25+ young adults who meet together every Sunday night from 7-9 PM.
